True Wealth

>> Saturday, February 27, 2010

Now that I am older, I realized the importance of taking care of one’s health. “Health is wealth.” they say. And I so believe them. If one is healthy, she can definitely rule the world! That is why manufacturing and selling of food supplements like natural colon cleansers and the likes is a profitable business.

Come Monday, we are going to hold a Red Cross blood-letting activity. I have been wanting to donate blood for the longest time but health problems like anemia and myoma prevent me from doing so. It’s frustrating if you ask me!

Not Getting Any Younger

An old friend came to visit me this morning at work and I am more than delighted to be seeing her again. She is some years older than me and she was once a mentor when I was about graduate from college. Nothing has really changed since we last met except that the inevitable signs of aging are starting to show up. Being the vain woman that she is, she shared that she is considering taking hgh to somehow reverse those dreaded signs.

I also learned that she is still working with an NGO. She is enjoying her work but feels that she needs to switch jobs and find something fulfilling to do. Hopefully, her plans of transferring to a better job will be pushed through this year because like what she said, she is not getting any younger.

Someone Needs Some Pampering

I have been asking some friends to accompany me to have a full body massage and a facial. A good blackhead extractor will also do wonders especially on my T-Zone. Hopefully, this will be fitted into our busy schedule some time next month because I badly need some pampering.

Work and deadlines have been piling up and not to mention DD’s 7th birthday celebration is coming up. Decisions must also be made and I have been postponing them. Life has never been this hectic before and I admit it, I am slacking big time! This is not a good news and I definitely need to get on top of my game soon.

Skin CareTalk

While browsing the Internet last night, I stumbled upon a website that talks about eczema and eczema treatment. Eczema or atopic dermatitis appears as an itchy rash of inflamed skin. It’s red, scaly, blistering and itchy. Contrary to common belief, eczema is not contagious but it is very uncomfortable and embarrassing so it’s best to prevent it  by keeping the skin moisturized and well-hydrated.

Student Discipline

>> Monday, February 22, 2010

Today, we commemorate the anniversary of EDSA 1 revolution. As a university, we enjoyed a holiday but a special task was assigned to me by the boss. At 2 PM today, I gave a short talk to our 20plus-strong security guards regarding the functions of the office and on student discipline. Our office is working closely with them so I find it important and helpful that they are aware how the office operates. Honestly, student discipline is my most hated part of our job. It is so stressful and taxing that I am actually paying attention to wrinkle cream reviews these days because I think I am needing one. Hopefully, we can improve this as a Student Discipline Program which will focus more on offenders’ reformation and not just punishment.

A Wise Move

>> Thursday, February 18, 2010

Have you been thinking of investing on gold? Do it now because it is the right time to buy gold bullion. The appeal of gold as an alternative investment is increasing because of the continuous weakening of the dollar. Paper currency has been unstable while gold and other precious metals never loose their value. Thus, investing on gold is a wiser decision because it’s a more viable asset.

So be wise enough and do not let your hard-earned money go to waste. Find a reliable seller of gold bullion and invest on precious metals now. It’s a decision you will never regret.

Content Heart?

You Have a Content Heart
Your heart doesn't crave much. It doesn't take much to make your heart happy.
You may or may not have found love, but either way, your heart is at peace.

If your heart has been broken, you are over it. Your heart has no scars.
Your heart is open to anything. You have a lot of love to give to the world.

Now this is a nice post-Valentine’s Day quiz. But nah, I don’t really agree with the first sentence. Hahahaha!

E.X.C.I.T.E.D.

I am very excited for an upcoming trip tomorrow. My friends and I have waited for this to happen and tomorrow, it is finally, going to happen! Yay! I will be finally meeting most of the online friends that I met some years ago and I have been talking with almost daily. Some of them are digiscrappers (that is how and why we met) and all of us are bloggers. Diane and I will be meeting at the airport and together, we’ll be going to the hotel where the rest of the gang have checked in. There will be lots of fun, laughter, stories, pictures and food! I can’t wait!

Sickies

>> Thursday, February 11, 2010

It seems that many people that I know are getting sick these days. Yesterday, while waiting for the urine analysis result of DD, I visited a friend who was confined at the hospital. She was confined two days ago because she has been suffering from vertigo for almost a month now. She has been evading the trip to the doctor and medication too. But it seemed that things got worse and that pushed her to finally see her doctor and was eventually confined. Being the talkative that she is, I did not notice that an hour passed by. Yeah, I had to wait for an hour for the the result. But I surely enjoyed Rose's company. We did not only talk about her illness (though she was feeling better and so chatty yesterday), but about her work, her kids (particularly her son who is graduating from college next month) and even the mortgage rates that she and her husband has been paying compared to that being paid by my brothers in-law for the house in Pampanga. We both agreed that the mortgage here is indeed cheaper.

Anyway, I went home happy because: 1. I was able to spend time with a friend and 2. DD's urine analysis result came out OK.

Now, I just wish that DD and Rose will recover very, very soon!
