Gold-Wrapped and Diamond-Garnished Sushi

Did you know that aside from investing on gold coins, gold bars and gold jewelries, you can also use edible gold to adorn your food?

One Filipino chef, Angelito Araneta Jr. made the most expensive sushi in the world last June 2010 in a restaurant in Manila. The five pieces of sushi which were wrapped with 24-karat gold leaves and garnished with .20-carat African diamonds and are worth P91,200 or $1,996. Chef Araneta’s unusual and extravagant food artworks are said to be used as gifts during marriage proposals or courtships.
