Qualified. Not!

Did you know that at Blue Advantage, one can apply for the maternity option for an extra charge when you first purchase a policy, when you renew, or when you have a family status change, such as marriage? However, you can’t apply for the maternity option if you or your spouse is pregnant at the time of applying.

Another question, right now, can I apply for Blue Advantage’s  maternity option? Nope. Why? Because I AM PREGNANT! Yup, yup! At 7 weeks! Go and see my other blog to read the story.

I am still adjusting and I am grateful that people are there to support and understand. Almost everyone I know who know my situation extend help and make sure that I feel comfortable and happy. And almost everyone wishes that it’s a boy this time. :)

DD is very excited! I was able to watch their practice for their ballet recital this afternoon and I saw how helpful and kind she is to the younger ones in their group. She guided them and helped them find their place on the stage. I know and believe that she will be a loving big sister to our newest family member. :)

Wow! She is indeed tall for her age. When we enrolled her in her ballet class, her teachers could not believe when I told them she just turned 6. “Are you sure?”, one of them even asked. Haha!

 

It’s no surprise, really. I am 5’5” while her dad is 5’8” tall. But can you imagine me scolding a towering 5’8” girl for coming home late 12 years from now? LOL!

Anyways, I better get going. Our bathroom faucet needs to be changed and I have to inform DH to buy a Grohe faucet as a replacement. From what I’ve seen and learned, it’s stylish and sturdy.

A Belated Mothers’ Day Post

Howdy! It’s been a while. Again. I know. On Mothers’ Day, my mom requested to be confined at the hospital since her asthma has been pestering her for almost two weeks! But I kinda blame her since she has been refusing to rest. She goes to her office daily, have classes (in two universities) during weekends and not to mention she is actively serving her parish and chapel. She is one busy woman and I’ve been wondering where she gets her energy! In fact, when I came back from buying the skin care products which she requested, I found her working on a thesis of a graduate school student whom she advises. Oh well. What can we do? She is one workaholic woman!

Anyways, she will be discharged today. I hope she takes a good rest for the rest of the week.

And this may be late, but to all the wonderful, hardworking, loving and caring moms out there, BELATED HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY! I hope your day was fun!

Another Sweet Victory for Manny Pacquiao

I was never a boxing fan nor a Manny Pacquiao fan. But this time, it’s different. It dawned to me that the Filipino nation needs this fight (and every fight of Manny) to show the world that we’re a great nation and we do excel in many things if we put our hearts into it.

And so, imagine my joy and pride when I saw that Manny was able to defeat Ricky Hatton during the second round of their fight in Las Vegas today.  Woot!

I salute you Manny! Your humility, willingness to continue learning and your great faith in God serve make you a true champion to us and to the rest of the world!

God bless you Manny and  God bless the Philippines!

2009 LET Result Out!

13, 384 hopefuls passed the 2009 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET 2009) and one of them is a dear friend of ours, Joniel! Well-done, boy! Lorivi Robles Huyaban from UP Diliman topped the elementary teachers' exam with a 90% rating.

To all of you, good luck and may you be successful in helping parents and the Filipino nation in molding the minds of the younger generation!

For Ara

A good and beautiful friend of mine from way, way back will be coming over to see me this month. It’s like eight years since we last saw each other. She surely missed the city and it’s local attractions. I know she won’t be impressed with our little mall because she has been into many big ones in her trips but she is very much looking forward to seeing new friends and her old schools and teachers.

I hope to bring her around the campus (we graduated in the same school, where I currently work) and we belonged to one organization. We used to be fighting about small things like why Filipino women love to whiten their skin, etc. But we surely loved each other no matter what. We used to frequent each others’ house  when there are celebrations and we felt so right at home that we helped in washing the dishes. I even used to stay at their place overnight and watch TV until our eyes dropped!

Well, Ara girl, here’s to more years of blessings and love! (Yup, it’s her birthday today!) Happy, happy, something-something birthday to you! Love yah and see you very, very soon!
